Oh, how this nerdy girl does love her gadgets.I've also been watching WAAAAAY too much of the Olympics. I am currently trying to procure a video of the Opening Ceremonies, because like an idiot I got caught up hanging out with neighbors and watching Beerfest (what a great movie...seriously) and forgot to TiVo the thing. What sucks most is the fact that it apparently was the best ever, and based on the few clips that I have scene I'm REALLY kicking myself in the hiney right now.
Speaking of the Olympics....
...a few thoughts.
- What the heck is up with the US gymnastics team? They were falling down and mistaking it up all over the place last night! I swear the announcers are jinxing them, because just as soon as one of them would remark, "This is her best event," or "She'll likely win gold in this event" one of the prepubescently stunted midgets would fall off of something. And amazingly enough, even with their general level of suckiness they still came in second behind China. WTH?
- I know this sounds wrong, but every time Jeremy and I would watch the Chinese gymnastics team make a mistake, we'd have to say something like, "Oh, your family shall suffer for this!" (only we would say something much more crass).
- And what was up with the really young (like 9-year-old) looking Chinese gymnast with the hooker make up? No one needs that much glitter.
- Michael Phelps is so hot. In that sexy body but kinda nerdy way.
- I love watching the swimming. Last night's 1st place photo finish in the relay was one of the best things I've ever watched.
- And speaking of which.....Suck it, France! That's what you get for running your foie gras-covered mouths about how you're going to kick our asses. Hopefully your 2nd place finish will teach you a thing or two about humility.
- Dude, synchronized diving rocks! I'm going to have to check the schedule for some more of this, because I've never seen anything like THAT before.
- The 33-year-old German gymnast MOTHER is my hero. I don't even want to think of what I'd look like out there flopping around on a balance beam or launching myself into outer space on the vault.

I don't know how you do it ... watch the Olympics, I mean.
I just can't stay awake. But then again, I am not one for sports or athletics. I am more the massages and pedicures type. But those make me go to sleep too ...
Very jealous of your new boyfriend! And the Olympics? Don't watch. Sometimes I feel bad like I should be watching as a good American, but I just can't enjoy it...Thanks for the hot guy pics, though!
Girl... you could post this same exact post tonight and still be up to date with the "goings on" in the Olympics. I gotta throw in a "suck it France" because I liked how you rolled on that...
