Back in March my parents and I took Livers to the aquarium for the first time. It was so insanely crowded that it was really difficult to have a good time. (We're talking fire hazard crowded.) She did enjoy seeing some fish, but she mostly enjoyed just people watching. This is one of the shots that I took of the huge fish tank. I feel fortunate to have gotten this shot, because my camera is INCREDIBLY slow, and I'd always miss the perfect shot by a millisecond. My battery also spent a good part of the day threatening to die on me. I hope that I can take her again in the fall when she's a little older, and maybe we can pick a day that is less crowded, because this place is really neat. I'm also a huge fan of aquariums, a la Anna (Julia Roberts) in
Closer.

Big fish freak me out, but I have to admit those underwater tunnel things are really cool.
Livers is a cutie!
That is an awesome picture - I could totally see it blown up and hanging on the wall in some chic gallery!
Fish squick me out so bad. I don't know why but I spend the entire time I'm in an aquarium with the heebie geebies. Despite this, I would love to go to Ripley's Aquarium. It's like my version of a haunted house!
Wow. That is so cool. And I don't hear the JAWS theme song in my head at all.
No seriously. It's beautiful.
That is so cool. I love shots like that.
This is an awesome photo. I also am a huge fan of aquariums. Have two at home, and one at work.
What a great picture!
That is a cool picture....yeah, its hard to get a good picture of an aquarium. Its a little scary looking....I have a fear of sharks though....
awesome shot! I have the same problem with a slow shutter. Drives me batty!
That is a way cool picture. I love the shades of blue with the dark outlines/shadows of the sean creatures.
Beautiful photo...print it out and frame it!!!!
What a brilliant idea to have an aquarium idea to be able to walk underneath an aquarium. Awesome picture.
love the underneath shot so cool to see the colors
This is totally unrealted to your post. I just read your comment about RHB's post on the French perspective. Thank you for your comment. She was totally floored by her friend's comments. I agree that that Americans have a lot of media influence, and that is not positive. And like you, I applaud the women who are making such difficult decisions that go against the norm. I am sure you saw what I did in the high school - too many teenage moms. Thanks for the support!
