A Little Meme to Get You Through the Day

I was tagged for a meme by Aubrey at Pilgrims at Ashley Avenue. I'm one of those weird people who enjoy memes, so I'll give this one a whirl.

1. LAST MOVIE YOU SAW IN A THEATER. Wanted, about a week ago.
2. WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING? Shamefully, nothing. I don't even have time to read the magazines I subscribe to. Luckily I'm going to the beach next week and ought to have some time to at least catch up on those.
3. FAVORITE BOARD GAME? I would have to say Scrabble or Trivial Pursuit, but I have always loved LIFE and Monopoly as well.
4. FAVORITE MAGAZINE? I love me some People, but if you're talking a "real" magazine then it would have to be Real Simple. Now that I'm a parent I also enjoy reading Parents.
5. FAVORITE SMELLS? Newborn babies. It's like smelling an angel, and it only lasts for a little while before they smell like poop and spit up. I also like freshly baked bread, cookies, and pies. Too bad I don't make them enough! And citrusy smells. So good!
6. FAVORITE SOUNDS? My daughter's voice would be one of my favorites (except when she's whining or screaming). Also the sound of the ocean and rain falling on a roof. They're such soothing, earthy sounds.
7. WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD? Hitting an animal with a car. Also, for me, saying something and immediately knowing you shouldn't, and the wave of fear that comes when you realized what you've just said. Amongst other things.
8. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU THINK OF WHEN YOU WAKE? I don't want to get up yet. Seriously, even if I've slept 12 hours, I still just love to lay around in bed.
9. FAVORITE FAST FOOD PLACE? Probably Atlanta Bread Company (if that counts). I have had a love affair with their Wisconsin Cheese soup going on seven years now. If you mean "real" fast food, then Arby's .
10. FUTURE CHILD'S NAME? We already have Livers (not really her name, obviously), but I've really started to like the name "Meggie" for a girl (doesn't help that I just watched the Thorn Birds) and I've had a thing for the name "Jack" for quite some time.
11. FINISH THIS STATEMENT—’IF I HAD A LOT OF MONEY I’d…probably stress out about money less. J and I would build our dream house, take care of our family, travel a lot, spend some on ourselves, save, and give it to those in need.
12. DO YOU DRIVE FAST? Not anymore. Two years ago I got my first (and only) two tickets within six weeks of each other. They'll be off my record next year, so I'm trying to play it safe (good since I have a child, too). I try not to go more than 5-10 miles over, depending on where I'm driving.
13. DO YOU SLEEP WITH A STUFFED ANIMAL? No, but I love to cuddle with a nice pillow (and my husband).
14. STORMS–COOL OR SCARY? Cool, unless they come with tornadoes or produce thunder loud enough to make my dogs bark uncontrollably.
15. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CAR? If you mean that I drove, it would be my parent's 91 Chevy Lumina and their old 93 Olds Cutlas Cierra (I alternated depending on who had the other one). If you mean that I own, that would be our 99 Mercury Sable that I saved up for years to buy. With gas prices what they are (and a new transmission in need), we'll probably have to kiss it goodbye, Steam-style, soon.
16. FAVORITE DRINK? I LOVE me some milk. I'm also a huge fan of juice and a good Chai Latte. Not a huge alcohol drinker, unless it's fruity and comes with a pretty umbrella.
17. FINISH THIS STATEMENT-IF I HAD THE TIME I WOULD…be artsy all day long.
18. DO YOU EAT THE STEMS ON BROCCOLI? Yes, I like how crunchy they are.
19. IF YOU COULD DYE YOUR HAIR ANY OTHER COLOR, WHAT WOULD BE YOUR CHOICE? Red or auburnish. I've always liked it, but I've come to realize how expensive it would be to maintain, and once you start to dye it you can't stop.
20. NAME ALL THE DIFFERENT CITIES/TOWNS YOU HAVE LIVED IN. This is sad...: I'll just say only 3 towns in the South, and all are within twenty miles of each other.
21. FAVORITE SPORTS TO WATCH? Gun to my head, I'd say gymnastics and football. I'm not much of a sports fan, unless I'm actually there spectating.
22. ONE NICE THING ABOUT THE PERSON WHO SENT THIS TO YOU? She's one of the smartest people I've ever known, and a wonderful Christian.
23. WHAT'S UNDER YOUR BED? Dust, fur, and a roach trap. I don't have enough space under my bed to store things, unfortunately.
24. WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE BORN AS YOURSELF AGAIN?? Yes, but I'd like to not date some of the people I did (even though those terrible experiences made me who I am today and ultimately led me to my husband --and to have a GREAT appreciation for him). Could I still marry my husband if I did?
25. MORNING PERSON OR NIGHT OWL? Night owl for sure. I hate getting up in the mornings, even when well-rested.
26. OVER EASY OR SUNNY SIDE UP? Over easy. I don't like them TOO runny. And don't give me overcooked eggs. That's just nasty.
27. FAVORITE PLACE TO RELAX? At home, on my couch watching TV. Place of choice: at the beach on a porch swinging in a hammock with a nice offshore breeze blowing through the screens. Hand me a stack of People magazines and a sweet tea and I'll think I've died and gone to heaven.
28. FAVORITE ICE CREAM FLAVOR? Probably strawberry or cookie dough with LOTS of dough chunks. I'm actually the rare woman who isn't a big ice cream fan, unless it's in milkshake form.
29. OF ALL THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE TAGGED, WHO IS THE MOST LIKELY TO RESPOND FIRST? Geez, I have no idea. Some people are so tagged out they might not respond at all :)
