Friday Foto Finish Fiesta!!!

This is Buster B. Long, my parent's Long-Haired Daschund. Yes, he is being carried in a Baby Bjorn. I thought it would be funny. Though he is technically their dog, he is really like my fourth child. They got him right before I found out I was pregnant, and I treated him like he was my own little boy. Whenever I went over to their house (which was often) he would run full force and jump into my lap, which became increasingly dangerous as my belly burgeoned. I would love on him and carry him like a little baby, which he just loved. In fact, the majority of the pregnancy pictures and videos at their house had me carrying him around as he looked at the world upside down. He absolutely adores me, and he can tell by the tone of my mom's voice when I'm calling, because he IMMEDIATELY runs to the door and starts barking because he thinks I'm coming to see him.

I think that he took my giving birth to Livers harder than my own dogs. He didn't understand why this new creature was getting all of the attention and why I suddenly was telling him to be quiet, get down, stop licking me, and all together not giving him the undivided attention he had become accustomed to receiving. I feel so bad for the Little Man, because he just doesn't understand that my own little flesh and blood baby comes first now.

There's also one important thing to know about Bussie. He is the world's biggest wuss. He might have to poop like there's no tomorrow or pee like the proverbial race horse, but if a since leaf flutters in the wind or a car horn blares from two miles away while he steps out to do his business, he'll tuck tail back inside and hold it till he bursts. When we take him on walks he will become so afraid of the activity around him that you either have to hold him or, if the stroller is with us, put him underneath so he'll fell safe and secure again.

These are some of my favorite pics of Bussie, my Little Man, my fourth born and first son. :)

Oh that is so cute! We had shih tzus that would walk along for as much as they could handle and then when we would stop at a corner, they would hop into the basket underneath the stroller!

I love how you love that dog! Very nice the way you snuck Livers into the picture while the focus was on the doxy ;)

As always, thanks for playing ;)

SO CUTE! It's times like that when I don't mind having a dog. Unlike those "other" times... bleh.

The Bjorn pic made me LOL! What a cute dog! Have you seen this old (like early 60s) movie called The Ugly Dachsund? I watched it yesterday and it's very cute in that old movie way--and especially if you love dachsunds!

That is a great story! And I love how we treat our dogs like babies. Plus, they really love it, so how can we help it?
