I started reading
I'm an Organizing Junkie's blog about a month ago and loved how she and her peers posted their weekly menu plans online. I am trying to make a more conscious effort at frugality (however, considering my love for grocery shopping, this can be difficult) and have been menu planning on my own for a bit. We don't always stick to it, but I try to do the best that I can.
Here, then, is my first Menu Plan Monday participation:
Monday: Steak and Blue Cheese salads
Tuesday: Crock Pot Ribs, mac-and-cheese, veggies
Wednesday: Sock-eye Salmon, garlic-sauteed green beans
Thursday:
3-bean chili with Spring PestoFriday:
same as Thursday, but with roast beef and provolone sandwiches
Saturday: eat out
Sunday: Flat-iron steak, veggies (sweet potatoes)

I NEED to do this. NEED doesn't do justice. The kids never eat what I make...I have created a monster when it comes to that....
I just started doing this more recently. I'm not perfect (aka, some nights we're both too tired to cook), but we try. Often this serves as a guideline of what we HOPE to eat during the week, so we might swap days. This is mostly helpful in curbing our grocery bill, because I LOVE grocery shopping and can quickly spend WAY too much.
