Wordless Wednesday - HAWAII

This is an old picture from four years ago when my husband and I went to Hawaii. He wasn't my husband before we went but he was going to be by the time we left. It is of a green sand beach on the island of Hawai'i, located around South Point, the southernmost point in the United States. One of the neatest things I've ever seen (but suckiest to get to--2.5 miles ONE WAY). I forgot to wear sunscreen on my legs, and I have never had a worse burn ever. Enjoy!

Awww...my husband proposed in Hawaii too. He was raised on Lanai, one of the smaller islands and proposed to me there. Sounds like a nice place to be right about now...

We'd wanted to go to Lanai, but we tried to get the most bang for our buck and went to the Big Island and Maui instead. It was by far the best trip we'd ever been on, and we can't wait till we can afford to go back. We've talked about going for our 10 year anniversary.

It was neat on Maui, because from the beach in front of our hotel you could see both Lanai and Molokai.

Man, I want me some Hawaii now...
