One thing I have been sadly remiss with is fostering Livers creative side. It's a shame, too, because one of my own personal favorite pleasures in life is finding various creative outlets to express myself with: sewing, beads, painting, photography, scrapbooking. I have recently vowed to make a better effort with her creative self-expression, which leads us to these pictures.
I'd once before gotten out the finger paints, but attempt #1 didn't go so well. Note to self: have a well-fed child before engaging in finger paint play. She was very crabby and wouldn't listen when I told her not to eat or shove paint into her ear. Attempt #2 went much better. She had a blast, and was asking to do it again tonight. Since bath time was over, we opted for the less messy option of crayons.
We hope you enjoy our creativity!
The picture is blurry, but I think it captured her thoughts on finger painting really well.
It can be hard to tell since she doesn't have a lot of hair and is half naked, but Livers is a girl. Really.
Come join in the fun and check out other phantastic photos at Candid Carrie's Friday Foto Finish Fiesta!

I have to admit - I am horrible with letting Avery explore his creative side too. We broke out the finger paints ONE time. I think about doing it again, but I hate a mess. And oh the crayons..I am on him like white on rice when he has those crayons. Thankfully he goes to daycare and gets to be 'creative' there. I see the end results!!!
Livers looks to be having a grand time!!!
I did enjoy your creativity. It's so hard to let them go there. It's one more HUGE mess to clean up. But look at his face!
What great pictures!! And she does look like she enjoyed herself!!
I hear you about fostering their creativity. But what a great tool for learning for her.
oh, look at her - so adorable!!
I love the hand shot! Beautiful!
Hi I found u on SITS! What a cute little boy!! Have a great day!
I was on the phone when I was typing that other comment! Then as soon as I sent it I was like...OH MY GOODNESS! I'm sorry, my friend was talking about how excited she is to have a little boy (she's pregnant and they just found out). I know you don't have a little boy since I just read your blog about your little girl!!!...I meant to say what a cute little ONE. Sorry, you don't have to post either comment! I'll leave one under the beautiful Whitewater Falls!! :) I'm really not crazy! ;)
It's ok, the lack of hair and general nakedness of her in the picture can make people wonder. I wrote an update on the blog so other people wouldn't have a gender crisis with her :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Now that's some good creative fun!
the photos are so great!
Second photo is a great shot!!! Beautiful!!!
I am so impressed that you let your child do that! I want to, I really do but I just can't bring myself to it!
Love those pics!! She is adorable. Can't tell though is she likes it or not. Some of those faces, she looks grossed out by the paint on her hands. LOL TFS
What a beautiful child! Thank you for visiting my blog... And keep that creativity going...
Great pics! She is adorable!
Hi, I saw you from The Family News! Good job Mommy! I need to let our little guy get down and dirty more too! Maybe that's why he picked at his birthday cake instead of diving in, and can't stand to have any food on his face, he has to push it off or in his mouth (I do let him get dirty...appropriately :))! Super cute pics!
I am losing comments everywhere.. I thought I left one on friday.
There was something on the crafty crow about using vanilla pudding and food coloring.. works out better.. :D well, taste better at least!
