Yes, CNN.com, we all know that the economy sucks, but do you have to show us the same pictures every day? How about an old picture of the military testing atomic bombs in the 50s? Or original artwork meant to accompany Dante's Inferno. Even better, mix it up and show a cute kitty. That's throw us for a loop and momentarily take our minds off of the insanity of the world. Anything but day after day of this:

Fluffy kittens. Sunshine and moonbeams. A picture of AIG executives forced to have their business meetings at a rustic cabin with no running water or electricity and having to hunt and gather for food. Because we all need a break, even temporarily, and would like to see and hear some goodness and happiness.That's all I'm saying.

Oh yes - i saw this 2nd picture ( or one very similar) and actually wondered just how many people will follow thru....

I think the 24/7 media frenzy just adds fuel to the fire. If they are airing it all day long, then it MUST be horrible. Don't get me wrong, I know the financial markets are tanking right now, but for the media to talk about it all day long, it just feeds to fear of the general public.
